After the success of the 12” of Hypho’s ‘Gong Tau EP’, the digital release is coming, complete with a remix package that features impressive reimaginations and dance-floor destroying inversions of the original tracks. The remix package consists of tracks from Swamp81 heavyweight Benton, dubstep golden boy Muttley, and the booty lord himself, Phrixus.
Benton’s take on the title track ‘Gong Tau’ is as capturing as the original, yet delivers a driving force that is consistent with his powerhouse production skills. His sharp focus has centred on the breaks element of the track, directing us through a foreboding jungle of spectral synths and melodies that tantalise aural curiosities.
