When it gets to this point in the year, it feels natural to reflect on the last twelve months. Award ceremonies and end of year lists pop up daily on our news feeds, and for us it’s also an opportunity to look back on the special nights and achievements from some of our most closely cherished artists.
It’s been a particularly big year for Monki – back in January she started a new Radio 1 show, welcoming guests like Skream, Claude VonStroke, Solardo and Pete Tong to a prime slot on Sunday nights. On her ‘Warning’ tour she sold out venues across the UK playing as the headliner, while her summer was split between playing festivals like Hideout and regular appearances in Ibiza.
She also brought her A-game for us with her Monki & Friends residency. Perhaps our favourite part of the summer was our Lovebox weekend, and Monki’s Room Two set at our first After Dark session still sticks in memory as a standout highlight. On 15th December she’s back in the same room with Timo Maas and Theo Kottis, but before she returns we wanted to share part of her summer set in celebration of one of our best residencies of the year.
