Hot Cakes have been trying to catch him in our nets for a while, so we’re stoked to announce that the man like Fish has finally swum into the Hot Cakes Bass shark pool with an EP that’s got more bite than a great white. A man of many talents, the Bristol badman has been tearing up raves for years up and down the country as well as releasing some of UK Bass’s most iconic tunes on the likes of Roska Kicks and Snares and Tumble Audio.
“The Boroughs” is a roughneck blend of rude Reece basslines and dirty broken riddims topped off with clever vocal work and sick effects. This one’s guaranteed to have them moving in the dance.
On the flip, “Get It” goes in with a blend of 4 x 4 UK Bass, Rave, House and Bassline, sending down twisted basslines aplenty, along with infectious vocal chops, heavy sub bass and crazy drops for a certified banger.
We’re expecting huge things from Fish in 2018. If you want to catch this mighty leviathan of the deep, you might just need to get yourself a bigger boat.
